    @Mike

Rodriguez is too unreliable now. Of the guys you mention, I like Corey Brewer, Maxiell, and Rudy the best. Ben Wallace has already apparently reinjured himself (I’m not sure why he came back in the first place), so Maxiell will probably have the most value if you can stomach his FT%.

Next, I’d prefer Rudy over Corey b/c of his %’s, but he’s also a bigger question mark b/c of his injury. If you’re in a H2H league w/ daily lineup changes, Rudy has a pretty decent schedule for the upcoming week — another reason to prefer him. Just keep an eye on his status.

    Morning Steve,

I’m in the league that never ends (playing the extended playoff week). Good news, at least I’m playing for the championship.

Reminders: H2H League, standard 9 categories. My team:

    PG: Deron Williams (Can’t Cut)
    SG: Mike Miller
    G: Russel Westbrook
    SF: Carmelo Anthony (Can’t Cut)
    PF: David West (Can’t Cut)
    F: Andray Blatche
    C: Dwight Howard (Can’t Cut)
    C: Nene Hilario
    Ut: Danillo Gallinari
    Ut: Jrue Holiday
    BN: J.R. Smith
    BN: Corey Maggette
    BN: Rasuel Butler

    His Team:

    PG: Jason Kidd
    SG: Rodney Stuckey
    G: Steve Nash
    SF: Kevin Durant
    PF: Jeff Green
    F: Andrea Bargnani
    C: Elton Brand
    C: Anthony Tolliver
    Ut: Al Harrington
    Ut: Jose Calderon
    BN: Jameer Nelson
    BN: Samuel Dalembart
    BN: Udonis Haslem

The surprising thing…is I actually can beat this guy in assists. Whatever the case, it seems to me like he’s got three-pointers dominated, and that I should try to concentrate on Points, Assists, Rebounds, Steals, and Blocks. In fact, I’m actually okay with punting three points altogether. He seems to have that category locked up each week, but I’d love to get your feedback.

I dropped Okafur recently (his production has sorta tailed off) for Bill Walker (I needed a three or two to win my last matchup, and just dropped Walker for Maggette). Some of the players that are available that I’m thinking of snagging up, but not sure who to drop are:

Joakim Noah (a must-add with six games, should I use my 2nd-place waiver on him?)
Emeka Okafur (again, though he only has four games so I’m debating staying away)
    Boris Diaw
Monta Ellis (but when do I add him?)

Right now, I’m thinking that dropping Butler, Gallinari, and J.R. Smith. I’d replace them with Noah, Diaw, and Ellis, But when and where I should drop is also a question I’m considering. I’m thinking Ellis is a must-add if he plays, because he could seriously contribute when playing at full cylinders. But that’s the thing, I know he’s out the Washington game, but will he be back after?

As always, thanks for your advice! I look forward to whatever you have to say.

Hey man, congrats on making the final. Just 10 days to go….

In general, I like to target at least 6 ideally 7 categories, b/c you never know what can happen — especially at the end of the season as there will be surprise DNP’s. As the week progresses it’ll become clear which 5 or 6 categories you really want, but you never know.

Since I’m assuming you’re already punting FT%, and since it also looks like your guys are TO-prone, that’s already 2 categories the other guy has a good shot at. Looking at it from his perspective, he just has to win 3 cats. If you punt 3′s, he’ll just have to focus on 2 more cats out of FG%, PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK… So for ex, one thing he could do is just go after REB/BLK (since D-12 only has 5 games) and keep swapping the Calderon/Nelson spots for centers. Or he could keep swapping out the Dalembert/Haslem spots for PGs.

Anyway, just saying it’s risky to “show your hand” right away. I like all 3 of the moves you mention though. I’d probably use my waiver on Butler for Noah (just beware how the Bulls use him on back to backs). Ellis is a gamble (but a potential game-changer), so I’d pick him up sooner rather than later… probably subbing Danilo for him. And then Smith/Diaw is your choice of when to do it.

The other thing I like to do is to play “keep away” from the other manager. I’ll pick up guys that I don’t intend on using just so he can’t use them. Own then for one day, and then drop them so they’re unavailable for the next few days… Anyway, good luck man. Let me know how things go.
